Maison Musée Jean Paul II
The Maison Musée Jean Paul II was founded as a tribute to Holy Father John Paul II, who honoured Aosta Valley with his presence for many years. The museum is located in Les Combes, a small hamlet in the municipality of Introd. This village is now called “Lieu dit du Saint Père”; Pope John Paul II spent ten years’ holidays here. Pope Benedict XVI also spent his holidays here for three years.
Maison Musée Jean Paul II houses an exhibition of objects that used to belong to John Paul II, and it is enriched by numerous photographs taken during the most intense moments of his long pontificate, by a philatelic section and by the exhibition of the coins minted during the 18 years of his pontificate.
